Proverbs 31 wanna-be

Bio: I am a Proverbs 31 wanna-be. Though my heart is at home, I have worked full time outside the home since 2009. While I was a SAHM, I began to write devotions from the many lessons the Lord was teaching me.

I love your blog and have added it to my favorites. will you tell me more abut your relationship with Jesus. Do you believe in a works salvation or grace salvation?

      Hi Mary,
      Thanks for your kind words.

In answer to your question, I believe in Eph. 2:8-10:

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Meaning, that we are saved by grace through faith. But once we are saved, it is our works that will begin to show it because a truly saved person is one who lives a life that is different from what we were before Christ. And like Philippians 2:12 admonishes us to do: we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Also, in James 2:17, it states that faith without works is dead, once again confirming that if we are truly saved, our works will indeed show forth that salvation.

      Hi Darla,

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for your kind words. I hope to see you Sunday, but am currently battling strep. I’ve really been looking forward to hearing Pastor’s message on the woman at the well. That story is one of my favorites.
